Max Volunteers: 28
Join us for a volunteer workday event to help support ongoing habitat restoration on the nursery grounds and to care for native plant gardens. This is a hands-on opportunity to engage with the ecology of the Sierra Nevada foothills. You’ll work alongside a knowledgeable, local team dedicated to conservation and community stewardship. All ability levels are welcome. Intermountain staff will provide orientation and lead each group. Let’s come together and have some fun!

Oak Group
Volunteers in this group will move large nursery tables and stock, place stones for garden borders, and assist with invasive plant removal along a creekside. Plants will be removed by hand or with hand tools. We will establish a short access path to guide responsible movement and reduce erosion along Big Sandy.

This group will focus on grooming and tidying garden beds and pathways. Tasks include removing overgrown garden stock and oak saplings, planting native shrubs, collecting and removing debris using buckets, as well as hand-weeding and using light hand tools.
